Chihiro Isana - BIG HERO 6 OC

One of the latest OCs that's needing drawing - and the one most popular in my poll of which people would like to see! So here we go! This was originally going to be a sketchdump, but I then decided to go with a snapshot theme since it fits in with the one-shot I recently wrote about these two, "Tadashi no Egao" :3 I apologise if my boxes aren't very straight. I was too lazy to go find a ruler so I just drew them free hand xD

I had soooo much fun designing Chihiro's hair ^.^ She's a bit of an eccentric artist type so I wanted her to look kind of neat and proper, but also untidy and kinda kooky at the same time. Now, profile times!

Name: Chihiro Isana.
Nicknames: Chi.
Age: 19.
Hair Colour: Black.
Eye Colour: Brown.
Personality: A creative, quite eccentric type. She's a big daydreamer and is usually off in her own world. She's easily distracted and it can sometimes be hard to win her attention back. She's quite shy and can come across as a little awkward in some social situations. She doesn't think too highly of herself - she really hates her smile and she feels quite unintelligent in comparison to Tadashi and his friends. She hates having her photo taken, though she grows to appreciate the visual mementos. Above all else, she's extremely passionate about music. She's greatly inspired by people with a strong spark for life, as she's naturally quite pessimistic about things. She tends to wear her heart on her sleeve and reads like an open book, though she'll be quite guarded around strangers. When she's more comfortable around someone she opens up a lot more and tends to show quite a child-like side. She quite likes to banter with people, but gets afraid that people who don't know her very well might taken offence and therefore doesn't do it very often. She's fairly outdoorsy and a bit of a nature lover. She loves being outside when the weather's nice, as she hates the rain and the cold. She prefers more secluded places. She's more of a country-loving, small town girl - big cities are quite overwhelming to her. She's also very technophobic. Her most important possession is a big Victorian doll house from when she was a kid with a music box piano that doesn't work anymore.
Likes: All kinds of music, playing piano, musicals, ribbons, composing music, theatre, rabbits, doll houses, anything apple flavoured, music boxes, pastries, nature, summer, the singer Lia, watching clouds, finger painting, yellow fields.
Dislikes: Her smile, having her photo taken, trying to work gadgets, rain, cold weather, pollution, skyscrapers, sports, piercings, smoking, clowns, crowded places, rude people, loud ringtones, business types.
Background: Chihiro grew up in a small countryside town. Her family moved to San Fransokyo when she was eleven. She was homeschooled up until she started high school, which made her even more of a social outcast. She'd had an interest in music when she was younger and had had a small keyboard to play, but she really learnt how to play piano whilst she was at high school, so she regards her lonely memories there quite fondly. She's quite detached from her parents as her mom is a best-selling author and always all business, whereas her dad's even more awkward with social niceties than she is. She works at a traditional restaurant, playing piano whilst the customers come in. She plays music for pleasure rather than for money, but she likes that she can use it for work too as she generally gets to play whatever she likes there. She was approached at the restaurant by Cass Hamada to play at her café during a speed dating event that she was hosting there. She's played at the Lucky Cat Café on other occasions too.

Thinking Out Loud -CHAP.01--BIGHERO6-  Soft music filled the room, the notes long and mournful. Yet in spite of the sad music that flowed through her fingers across the ivory keys, Chihiro was happy. Only yesterday she'd been prepared to quit her job - now she couldn't imagine doing anything better. The piano sat just inside the entrance of the restaurant. Customers and wait staff passed Chihiro on either side, but this was her music and whilst she was playing nobody else existed to her.
  Not all music had that effect on her. She could only really feel music if she enjoyed it, appreciated it, respected the clear emotions behind it. If she couldn't feel the music then it was just mechanical - her fingers moving along the keys like they were on a timer; programmed to move that way. She hated mechanical playing. Music was all about telling a story, a moment, a feeling... There was no point in music if there was no feeling behind it.
